We are excited to have started delivering the COVID19 vaccination programme at Binfield Road Surgery, working with our local practices.  There is no need to contact us, we will contact you directly to organise your vaccination appointment.

The Government have instructed us to deliver the vaccine to those patients at highest risk of harm from COVID19 and as of now, all of our over 70 year old patients have been invited already.

So, we are now moving onto inviting our over 65’s and our younger clinically vulnerable patients between 18-65 years old.

We will be in touch directly, you do not need to call.

If you are uncertain if you fall into this group, the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JVCI) defines clinically vulnerable people as those with:

  • chronic respiratory disease, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), cystic fibrosis and severe asthma
  • chronic heart disease (and vascular disease)
  • chronic kidney disease
  • chronic liver disease
  • chronic neurological disease including epilepsy
  • Down’s syndrome
  • severe and profound learning disability
  • diabetes
  • solid organ, bone marrow and stem cell transplant recipients
  • people with specific cancers
  • immunosuppression due to disease or treatment
  • asplenia and splenic dysfunction
  • morbid obesity
  • severe mental illness
